Get a wheelchair for your child from Airedale's Wheelchair Service
Provides and adapts wheelchairs for people with a long-term medical condition and significant mobility limitations lasting over six months, with equipment specifically adapted for children and those with degenerative conditions. GP or allied health professional referral usually needed; self-referral accepted for manual wheelchairs.
Get dietetic support for your child's eating or nutrition needs
Assessment and support for children with nutrition or feeding difficulties, delivered by the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Airedale General Hospital.
Get occupational therapy for your child
Assessment and therapy to help children build the skills they need for everyday activities, delivered by Airedale NHS Foundation Trust's children's occupational therapy team.
Get orthotic support (braces, splints, footwear) for your child
Prescribes and fits insoles, braces, splints, callipers, footwear, spinal jackets and helmets for clients of all ages, including specialist joint clinics for children with complex postural needs (CPIP). GP referral needed; patients must be registered with an Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven GP.
